Anna Faris for The Dictator?
Anna Faris is being lined up to star in 'The Dictator' with Sacha Baron Cohen.
The 'House Bunny' actress is battling it out with Kristen Wiig and Gillian Jacobs to take on the part of the female lead opposite the 'Borat' star in the movie which tells the "heroic story of a dictator (Cohen) who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed".
'Borat' and 'Bruno' director Larry Charles will once again reunite with Sacha to helm the production and the pair are said to be looking for an actress with strong improvisational skills.
In addition to playing the deposed dictator, Sacha is also set to take on the role of a goatherder while Jason Mantzoukas is in talks to play the lead character's sidekick.
The role could be perfect for Anna, who recently admitted she wanted to do comedy for the rest of her career.
The screen beauty - whose career break was in spoof horror 'Scary Movie' - revealed she has finally decided she is happy to be known for her comic talents.
She said: "I used to be like, 'You know what? I'm going to show this town! I can act! I can cry!'
"Then I thought I kind of don't want to explore those darker parts of my personality. I would do comedy for the rest of my life."
Filming on 'The Dictator' is set to begin in New York in May and Morocco with plans for a 2012 release date.
