Will Ferrell stars in this comedy film derived from the 1970's Saturday morning Children's TV series. A self-described quantum paleontologist (Ferrell) is on a field trip with his research assistant (Anna Friel) and a hillbilly survivalist (Danny McBride) when they are suddenly transported to an alternate universe complete with dinosaurs and lizard men. There the humans find an ally in ape-man Chaka (Jorma Taccone).
