Katherine Heigl wants Christmas Day film
Katherine Heigl would like to make a movie about Christmas Day.
The actress stars in forthcoming movie 'New Year's Eve' and has been considering what other holiday-set movies director Gerry Marshall - who also helmed last year's hit film 'Valentine's Day' - could tackle next.
She said: "I was actually thinking about that yesterday. It has to be universal so it can sell domestically and internationally. But what are other holidays that the whole world celebrates? Thanksgiving is out, Christmas, I guess he could do Christmas, but now that he's done New Year's Eve, can you do it in reverse? I don't know. Well, I know Columbus Day is out, President's Day is out, Memorial Day? Doesn't everyone celebrate that?"
Katherine's co-star josh Duhamel also has ideas for the subject matter of Gerry's next film.
He told MTV News: "St. Patrick's Day, yes. It's about a crazy little leprechaun in Ireland. Does everyone celebrate St. Patrick's Day? You got to pick a holiday that everybody celebrates. We couldn't do Columbus Day; even Canadians don't celebrate that."
'New Year's Eve' - which also features stars including Zac Efron, Sarah Jessica Parker, Hilary Swank, Ashton Kutcher, Lea Michele and Michelle Pfeiffer - is released later this week.
