Liam Hemsworth wants Hunger Games sequel role
Liam Hemsworth wants to star in a sequel to 'The Hunger Games'.
The 22-year-old actor - who plays Gale Hawthorne in the movie, based on the Suzanne Collins trilogy of books - thinks it would be ''awesome'' to appear in the follow-up 'Catching Fire', but is ''very happy'' just to be starring in the current film.
When asked if he would like to appear in a sequel to 'The Hunger Games', he replied: ''Absolutely, yeah! If we get to shoot the other ones, that would be awesome.
''At this point, I'm very happy to be a part of something so special. As an actor, I choose scripts that I'm passionate about and that I think are interesting.''
Liam made sure he read all three of Suzanne Collins' books before he auditioned for the film, and he was drawn to the script because of its mix of romance and action.
He added to Collider.com: ''I read all the books before I met with anyone about the movie, and I became a fan of the books.
''As an actor, I'm always looking for scripts that I relate to, in some way, and things that are interesting and different. If it's combining romance and action, I'm not missing out on anything. I get to do it all.
''I wanna do as many different emotions as I can. It's a pleasure to be able to do both, in the same film.''
