Lindsay Lohan can relate to Sharon Tate movie
Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren and Mary-Louise Parker star in the 2010 action-comedy that is "Red". After he's threatened by a high-tech assassin, former black-ops agent Frank Moses (Willis) reassembles his old crew to go after their longtime assailants. The movie's title (RED) stands for "Retired Extremely Dangerous".
Lindsay Lohan is the perfect choice to play murdered actress Sharon Tate because of her troubled background.
The 24-year-old actress has been asked by close friend Tyler Shields, who will direct and star in the movie 'Eyes of a Dreamer' based on the life of murderer Charles Manson - whose followers famously killed the pregnant Sharon in 1969 - to take on the role of the tragic star because she is "relatable".
He said: "We've worked together many, many times. She asked me about 'Eyes of a Dreamer' . And I said, 'Oh you should be Sharon Tate.' And she was like, 'That would be amazing.'
"Sharon Tate was a movie star. So I want an actress who you already have a back story with. People have a back story with someone like Lindsay. And I think it's very relatable."
However Tyler has warned the movie won't be for the faint hearted and he is planning to show the death of Sharon - who was married to director Roman Polanksi - in graphic detail.
He explained to Entertainment Weekly: "I'm just going to be directing people to do the craziest s**t they've ever done. [But] I'm going to find a way to do it where it doesn't turn people off, but it gives you the feeling of it. I want this to really hit people in a really specific place."
Lindsay is currently facing charges of felony grand theft after being accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from an upmarket Californian boutique.
