Robert De Niro's New Year's Eve plan
Robert De Niro is being lined up for a role in 'New Year's Eve'.
The 'Taxi Driver' actor is among a host of stars set to join the follow up to 'Valentine's Day' with Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank and Ashton Kutcher also in talks for the ensemble romantic comedy.
The movie - which will be directed by 'Pretty Woman' director Garry Marshall - will tell the story of the romantic lives of a group of New Yorkers over the course of New Year's Eve.
Robert's role is reported to be that of a bitter dying man in a hospital, while Michelle is being lined up to play a frustrated secretary who decides to take control of her life, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Ashton - who has previously worked with the director in 'Valentine's Day' is in talks to play a man who hates New Years Eve. Oscar-winner Hilary is set to play a producer of the famous Times Square New Year's Eve show.
Mike Karz and Wayne Rice will produce the movie for New Line Cinema.
'Glee' star Lea Michele and 'Little Miss Sunshine' star Abigail Breslin have already signed on for parts in the movie.
