Chrisopher Nolan to produce Wally Pfister's directorial debut
Chrisopher Nolan will executive produce Wally Pfister's directorial debut.
'The Dark Knight Rises' director and his producing partner Emma Thompson have confirmed they will be working on the Oscar-winning cinematographer's first film as director, an unnamed thriller.
Alcon Entertainment will fund the project. Christopher and Emma had previously joined forces with Alcon for their 2002 thriller 'Insomnia.'
Producers Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove commented: ''Chris and Emma, with whom we worked so closely on 'Insomnia,' are supremely talented, as filmmakers, as collaborators, as storytellers, in all ways large and small, and we are delighted to be in business with them again.''
Three-time Oscar nominee Wally has worked with Christopher as director of photography on seven of his films, including all three Batman films and 2000's breakout movie, 'Memento'. He finally bagged an Oscar for his work on blockbuster 'Inception', which starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Marion Cotillard.
The film - whose plot and cast are not yet known - will be co-produced by Regency Boies and the script was written by Jack Paglen.
Filming is scheduled for the end of 2012.
