March 15th, 2012

Michael Fassbender is being lined up for a role in 'The Mountain Between Us'.

The 'Shame' actor is in ''early talks'' to star in the romantic drama, which will be directed by Gerardo Naranjo and will be based on Charles Martin's novel.

According to Variety, Fassbender will play a doctor and avid climber, who gets stranded in the Colorado woods with a female writer after their plane crashes. They are forced to rely on one another for survival, which eventually leads to love.

There is no news on the female lead.

Last month, Fassbender was being lined up to star as a Celtic warrior in 'Irish Myths'.

The 'A Dangerous Method' actor is set to play the lead role of Cuchulain, one of the greatest heroes of Irish mythology and legend, in the movie which 'Public Enemies' screenwriter Ronan Bennett has been working on since last year.

Fassbender and Bennett's production company Finn McCool Films will produce the movie but there is no director confirmed for the motion picture as yet.
