Ridley Scott has confirmed the Xenmorph from 'Alien' will not be in the prequel 'Prometheus'.

The director - who has completed filming on the movie starring Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender - has admitted it is not possible for the extra-terrestrial creature, who stars in the first films and spin off 'Predator' pictures, to be making a return because he is now in Disneyland.

Asked if Xenomorph would return, he said: "No, absolutely not. They squeezed it dry. He did very well. He survived, he's now in Disneyland in Orlando, and no way am I going back there. How did he end up in Disneyland? I saw him in Disneyland, Jesus Christ!"

Ridley has been keen to distance the new film, which is released in 2012, from the follow-ups on 1979's 'Alien', but claims people will be able to recognise strands in 'Prometheus'.

He added to Filmophilia.com: "By the end of the third act you start to realize there's a DNA of the very first alien, but none of the subsequent aliens.

"To tell you what that is a pity, and I'm not going to tell you, because it's actually pretty good, pretty organic to the process and to the original. But we go back, we don't go forward."
