"Earth to Echo" Review

2

The‭ ‬thing about this film is that it is what people tend to call‭ ‬a‭ ‬“found footage‭”‬ style of film.‭ ‬This means that the whole movie is filmed documentary style with different cameras like hand helds,‭ ‬cell phones,‭ ‬webcams,‭ ‬etc.‭ ‬And usually one of the lead characters is doing the filming and narrating.‭ ‬Unfortunately,‭ ‬we have already seen this before in films like‭ ‬“Super‭ ‬8‭”‬ and‭ ‬“Chronicle‭”‬ so it was nothing new and was not on the same level as these.‭ ‬We‭’‬ve also seen great films about a cute alien that lands on earth and acquires the help of a group of kids.‭ ‬

Craig's Viewing Room: "Tammy"

2

Win or lose, it was always pretty clear that “Tammy” was going to be a surprise. I say that mainly because I couldn’t tell what the hell it was going to be to begin with. From the outset it looked like it was about a woman robbing fast food places while dressed up like she was going to a reunion for all the extras in Nirvana’s “Smells like Teen Spirit” video. Sadly the real “Tammy” doesn’t even have that much plot.
