"Neighbors" reached top spot in box office rankings during the weekend of Friday, May 9, thanks to earnings of $51,070,000. As parents of a baby, Mac and Kelly are already overwhelmed. They hope their new neighborhood will offer some respite, but a fraternity moves in next door and immediately amps up the noise. When a call to police begins a feud, Mac and Kelly find their inner warriors. The R rating is due to pervasive language, crude and mature content, graphic nudity and drug use.

"Moms' Night Out" debuted with $4,200,000. Staying at home with the kids may seem fun, but Allyson is suffering from serious work overload. To unwind and regroup, she invites some of her mom friends out for a night of sparkling conversation and a relaxing meal. But with the dads in charge, trouble soon follows. "Moms' Night Out" has a PG rating for some action and mild thematic elements.

"Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return" saw opening weekend profits of $3,705,376. Dorothy Gale travels to Oz once more, this time to fight against a cunning new villain known as the Jester. She'll meet up with many of her old friends, plus make some new allies. The noble Marshall Mallow and diminutive China Princess are just some of Dorothy's supporters. The PG rating is for mild peril and scary images.

Continuing Films

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" earned $37,200,000, bringing total profits to more than $147 million. While he's learning the ropes of being a superhero, Peter Parker reconnects with an old friend, Harry Osborn. Harry's connection to the mysterious Oscorp ends up throwing Peter's life into disarray, pitting him against villains who threaten his city, his relationship and his abilities as an emerging superhero. Sequences of sci-fi action and violence contribute to a PG-13 rating.

"The Other Woman" saw weekend earnings of $9,250,000. In total, the comedy has brought in more than $61 million. After playing the field, Carly believes that she's finally found the perfect guy to round out her life. A surprise trip to her boyfriend's home reveals that Mr. Right already has a wife. As Carly tries to end the relationship, her boyfriend's wife offers a chance for revenge. The PG-13 rating is due to mature references, language and mature thematic content.

"Heaven is for Real" earned $7 million, with overall profits reaching more than $75 million. Colton Burpo survives a medical emergency, much to the relief of his parents and his Nebraska community. Colton's recovery is only the tip of the iceberg, however. The young boy begins to share stories of his amazing visit to heaven, raising huge questions about faith and the afterlife. The PG rating is due to thematic material that includes some medical situations.

"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" saw weekend profits of $5,619,000. Overall, the movie has brought in more than $244 million. Steve Rogers is still trying to adapt to life in the modern world, which has changed since World War II. A nemesis called the Winter Solider terrorizes Rogers and his colleagues, threatening Rogers' reputation and sending him on a quest to make things right. The PG-13 rating is due to intense sequences of violence, gun play and action.

"Rio 2" earned  $5,125,000, with total profits reaching more than $113 million. Blu and Jewel are heading to the Amazon to reconnect with family members. Along the way, they'll also encounter some problems from the past. Blu, Jewel and their three kids will have to adapt to life in the wild after their city living. "Rio 2" has a G rating.

Movies to DVD

"That Awkward Moment" arrives out on DVD on Tuesday, May 13. After Mikey goes through major heartbreak, his two best friends promise that they'll avoid serious relationships out of solidarity. The plan goes well at first, with all three guys enjoying the bachelor life. Soon, however, complications arise, and the friends start wondering how to balance friendship and romance. "That Awkward Moment" has an R rating for language and mature content throughout.

"Her" stars Joaquin Phoenix as Theodore, a lonely man who finds fulfillment in an unexpected place. When he purchases an advanced operating system equipped with artificial intelligence, Theodore bonds with his new OS, opening up about his life. The border between real love and artificial intelligence soon begins to blur. "Her" has an R rating for language, brief graphic nudity and mature content.

"I, Frankenstein" takes the iconic monster into the contemporary world. Rejected by his creator, superhuman Adam roams the earth, locked into immortality and seeking a place to call home. Along the way, the superhuman becomes a pawn in an ancient and deadly battle between the heavenly gargoyles and the conniving demons. The film's PG-13 rating is due to intense sequences of fantasy action and violence.
