'Harry Potter' took over Rupert Grint's life.

The 22-year-old actor - who plays Ron Weasley in the wizard franchise - revealed while appearing in the films for more than 10 years was an "exhausting" experience, it never got boring.

He said: "Hours-wise, they're all the same since we turned 16. It's nine-hour days and five days a week. It's quite tiring because this has felt like we've been here for years and it hasn't gone on this long.

"I think it helps, because you're supposed to be exhausted anyway. It did take my life over. But there are lots of different scenes so it never got boring."

However, the British star admitted 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One' takes "gory" to a new level.

Rupert explained to The Daily Record: "It's really taken to another level. It's quite gory. Getting splinched is disgusting. My arm kind of gets ripped open. It's really graphic, actually."
