Oliver Stone is a legendary director, writer and producer and a three time Academy Award winner. He's well-known throughout the film world for his tendency to focus on controversial subjects, most commonly contemporary American political and/or cultural issues. It was during the 1980's that Stone wrote and/or directed the string of films that would launch his career. Among the iconic titles that left a mark on American audiences: 1983's Scarface, Platoon (1986), Wall Street (1987), JFK (1991) and Natural Born Killers (1994).
