Molly Shannon to star in "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2"
Molly Shannon is in talks for 'Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2'.
The 'Saturday Night Live' star is negotiating a role in the sequel to 2009's comedy where she will work alongside 'Grown Ups 2' star David Henrie, according to deadline.com.
Henrie is set to play Lane, a valet attendant who Blart's (Kevin James) daughter Maya (Raini Rodriguez) begins to fancy.
'The King of Queens' star Gary Valentine, Cristiada's Eduardo Verastegui and 'Here Comes the Boom' actor Nicholas Turturro are also set to join the cast.
The forthcoming film tells the story of Blart - who was a security guard at the West Orange Pavilion Mall in New Jersey in the first film - as he attends a security guard expo in Las Vegas with his daughter.
Although he is initially mocked by casino security their opinion of him changes when he helps them catch art thieves.
Shannon currently stars on Jeff Baena's zombie flick 'Life After Beth' where she will play Geenie Slocum, and hit the big screen last year as Heather Daltry in 'Scary Movie 5'.
