Rashida Jones is an American film and TV actress as well as a screen writer and comic book author. She has also worked as a singer, providing back-up vocals to the band Maroon 5 while on the soundtracks for titles like The Baxter, The Ten and Reno 911!: Miami.
She currently stars as Ann Perkins on the NBC comedy series "Parks and Recreation".
From 2000 to 2002 Rashida had a recurring role as Louisa Fenn on Boston Public, with her final year earning her a NAACP Image Award nomination. It was after this time that she started to receive film offers.
In September of 2006 Jones joined the ensemble cast of NBC's hit show "The Office". Appearing regularly during the third season, she portrayed the character of Karen Filippelli. The actress returned as a guest star for two episodes in season four and another in season five.
Jones is most recently known for her work in the films I Love You, Man (2009) and The Social Network (2010). Currently she has a starring role opposite Chris Messina in 2011's Monogamy. Directed by Dana Adam Shapiro, the drama film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2010.
