Movie Review: "Iron Man 3"

If Iron Man fans thought the first two films in the series were good then they are in for a seriously good surprise when they see this film.  Robert Downey Jr. is just as brilliant in this film as you would expect and I feel that he is a bit more of a comedian in this one than the first two.  I have to admit I did miss Scarlett Johansson and her sexy outfit, but I guess you can’t have it all. Once again, Gwyneth Paltrow did a great job as Pepper.

The film begins with a flashback from 1999 when Tony Stark meets a young attractive woman named Maya Hansen (Rebecca Hall) who is working on a new way to help the brain regenerate parts of the body that have been amputated or damaged.  Tony and Maya run into a very strange man named Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) who Tony blows off and never thinks twice about. Aldrich then resurfaces in the present day and Tony must figure out what this mad scientist is up to.

The funny thing about the film as that you really don’t see much of Iron Man in the first part of the film.  Most of the film focuses on Tony fighting and not Iron Man, which I thought was a really cool direction to take the action flick.  If you are an Iron Man fan, or a superhero fan in general, you are really going to enjoy this film.

Theater vs. Digital Release: Theater for sure.
