When most people have beans they get some protein with a lot of you know what‭! ‬But for Jack‭ (‬Nicholas Hoult‭) ‬his adventure‭ ‬is‭ ‬a lot more than a room clearing odor.‭ ‬In the film Jack trades his horse for a bag of magic beans and he ends up accidently losing one during a storm which triggers a bean stalk to shoot miles into the air.‭ ‬The stalk unknowingly takes princess Isabelle‭ (‬Eleanor Tomlinson‭) ‬into the long forgotten world of the giants,‭ ‬which could ultimately lead to her death.‭ ‬King Brahmwell‭ (‬Ian McShane‭) ‬sends up his best men including Elmont‭ (‬Ewan McGregor‭) ‬his trusted advisor,‭ ‬and future son-in-law Roderick‭ (‬Stanley Tucci‭)‬,‭ ‬and Jack‭ ‬to retrieve his daughter from the giants and their evil leader General Fallon‭ (‬Bill Nighy‭)‬.‭ ‬Little do they all know that the scary tales of giants they heard as kids,‭ ‬are actually true.

I really enjoyed this film.‭ ‬It‭’‬s not the best adventure movie I saw this year,‭ ‬but it has all the qualities of a fun family film.‭ ‬It has violence but nothing over the top for today‭’‬s action films.‭ ‬Director Bryan Singer did a good job building the story up before introducing us to the giants,‭ ‬and since I expected a lot of computer graphics and animation,‭ ‬it didn‭’‬t seem that overdone to me.‭ ‬All in all,‭ ‬it‭’‬s a great family movie and you should rent it when you get the chance.
