Quick Hits Movie Review: Django "Off the Chain"

Movie Description(Click Here To Hide)
Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, this Western drama is set in the Deep South and follows Django (Jamie Foxx), a freed slave who treks across America with Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz), a German dentist turned bounty hunter. Together, they try to retrieve Django's wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) from the charming but sadistic Francophile plantation owner Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his band of ruthless slavers.

Quick Hits Movie Review: Django “Off the Chain” 4 stars

Yes I went there, but it is because this movie is so amazing.  Quentin Tarantino has done it again and fans of his earlier work like: “Kill Bill”, “Pulp Fiction”, and “Inglourious Basterds” will not be disappointed.  The movie follows an African American slave named Django (Jamie Foxx), “the D is silent”, says Django, who becomes a bounty hunter in the south with his new German friend (Christoph Waltz), and is trying to find his still imprisoned wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington).

This movie has everything you would expect from a Tarantino film including: The bloodiest shootout scene ever put on screen, complex and devious characters (Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel Jackson), and last but not least an unbelievable musical soundtrack.

Theater Vs. Home Release-  Theater for sure! You can’t beat those gory scenes up on the big screen.
