Rose McGowan says Momoa is ultimate Conan
Jason Momoa plays the lead role in this new film adaptation of Robert E. Howard's fantasy hero. A quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrior soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters, and impossible odds, as Conan realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil. Rose McGowan, Stephen Lang, Ron Perlman, Bob Sapp and Rachel Nichols star.
Rose McGowan claims Jason Momoa will be better in 'Conan the Barbarian' than Arnold Schwarzenegger - because he's less bulky.
The actress is starring in a new adventure movie which shares the same name and some of the same characters as the cult 1982 movie which starred Schwarzenegger as the titular sword-wielding warrior.
But McGowan is convinced Momoa will be better in the title role because he is not restricted by huge muscles like the bodybuilder-turned-actor was.
She said: "Arnold is very muscular, but Jason is a beautiful man. His muscles are very different - of the non-steroidal variety.
"If you go back and watch the Schwarzenegger one, he can barely pass his sword from one hand to the other, because he's so bulky."
McGowan is portraying half woman, half witch Marique in the movie and although she looks completely different to her normal self in the role she thinks Marique's unusual appearance is still "beautiful".
She added to Total Film magazine: "I think she's quite majestic . She is a bit startling at first but I think she's quite beautiful in her own way."
