Russell Crowe to hunt Dracula
Russell Crowe is in talks to star in 'Harker'.
The 'Robin Hood' actor has entered negotiations to appear in the reimagining of Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' as the titular character, a tough London detective on the hunt for the ghoulish figure behind a string of gory murders.
The Warner Bros. movie will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, but no further casting information is currently available.
The role would be the second as a policeman that Russell has coming up.
He recently signed on to star in 'Les Miserables', which will see him play police inspector Javert.
The actor - who is currently working on 'Superman: Man of Steel' - is also believed to be in talks to take the title role in 'Noah'.
Director Darren Aronofsky is keen to get the 'Gladiator' star and 'The Grey' actor Liam Neeson on board for the project, which will be his first since psychological ballet drama 'Black Swan'.
The picture - based on the epic biblical tale of a man who is told by God the world will be flooded and he must save a pair of every animal by building a huge ark - is expected to go into production in the summer.
Previous stars connected to the movie included Christian Bale - who passed - and Michael Fassbender, who could not commit due to scheduling conflicts.
'Noah' is expected to be released in the summer of 2013.
