Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez continue to adapt Miller's "Sin City" graphic novels, this time with the second book mentioned in the title name. Dwight McCarthy (Josh Brolin) gets a call from his former lover, Ava Lord (Eva Green), who wants his help in escaping from her abusive husband, billionaire Damien Lord (Marton Csokas). However, Dwight soon learns that Ava's true intentions are far more sinister than they appear. Meanwhile, Nancy (Jessica Alba) struggles to cope with Hartigan’s (Bruce Willis) death.

"Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" is set to release in 2014 and is the sequel to popular 2005 film "Sin City," a film noir-style movie based on stories in a comic book series by Frank Miller. The film features a number of cast members returning from the original film in addition to plenty of newcomers. Many fans are anxious to get to know the cast and characters of the crime action thriller before seeing the movie.

Bruce Willis
 
Returning from the cast of the first film, Bruce Willis stars as one of the story's main protagonists, John Hartigan. Detective Hartigan is an former police officer who also served time in prison for a crime he did not commit. Bruce Willis is a veteran actor best known for his roles on television's "Moonlighting" and the films "Pulp Fiction," "12 Monkeys," "The Sixth Sense," "Unbreakable," "Armageddon" and the "Die Hard" series.
 
Jessica Alba
 
Jessica Alba reprises her role in the film as Nancy Callahan, an exotic dancer who is protected throughout her life by John Hartigan. Hartigan saved Nancy from being raped and murdered when she was 11 years old, only to be framed and jailed for the crime. Actress Jessica Alba is best known for her roles on the television series "Dark Angel" and the films "Honey," "Fantastic Four," "Into the Blue" and "Good Luck Chuck."
 
Mickey Rourke
 
Actor Mickey Rourke returns to the film in the role of Marv, an ex-convict who suffers from a violent temper and a mysterious mental disorder. Despite his flaws, Marv is chivalrous to women and takes time to repay his debts to others. Mickey Rourke is best known for his roles in "Diner," "Rumble Fish," "9 1/2 Weeks," "Barfly," "Angel Heart" and "The Wrestler." Mickey Rourke retired from acting to pursue a career as a professional boxer from 1991 to 1994 before returning to acting. "Sin City" provided him with his comeback role in 2005.

Jaime King
 
Model and actress Jaime King returns to the sequel to play two roles, Goldie and Wendie, who are identical twin prostitutes who run Old Town and protect other ladies in their employ. After Goldie is murdered, Wendy believes Marv to be her killer, but she later gets to know him and becomes his friend. Jaime King is best known for roles in the television series "Hart of Dixie" and the films "Pearl Harbor," "Bulletproof Monk" and "My Bloody Valentine 3D."
 
Josh Brolin
 
Newcomer to the film Josh Brolin portrays Dwight McCarthy, a private investigator and vigilante hero who protects the town's prostitutes. McCarthy's ex-lover, Ava Lord, manipulates him into killing her abusive husband. The role of Dwight McCarthy was played by Clive Owen in the original film. Actor Josh Brolin is best known for his roles in "The Goonies," "No Country for Old Men," "Milk," American Gangster," "True Grit" and "Gangster Squad."
 
Rosario Dawson
 
Actress Rosario Dawson reprises her role in the film as Gail, a submachine gun-toting prostitute and dominatrix who wears leather, metal and fishnets and carries a torch for unrequited love for Dwight McCarthy. Rosario Dawson is best known for her roles in "Clerks II," "Rent," "Eagle Eye," "Alexander," "Seven Pounds" and "Unstoppable."
 
Eva Green
 
Actress Eva Green co-stars in the film as Ava Lord, the former lover of Dwight McCarthy and current wife of a billionaire. Ava is known for lying and manipulating men to get what she wants and is "the dame to kill for" referenced in the film's title. French actress Eva Green is best known for her roles in "The Dreamers," "Kingdom of Heaven," "Casino Royale," "Dark Shadows" and "300: Rise of an Empire."
 
Joseph Gordon-Levitt
 
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is another newcomer to the film who co-stars as Johnny, an arrogant gambler on a mission to destroy his most hated enemy. The character was not featured in the first film, but a different character by the same name was. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is best known for his roles on the television series "3rd Rock from the Sun" and the films "Angels in the Outfield," "10 Things I Hate About You," "Inception," "The Dark Knight Rises," "50/50," "Looper" and "Don Jon."
 
Ray Liotta
 
Another newcomer to the series but not to the big screen is veteran actor Ray Liotta, who portrays Joey, a married businessman who cheats on his wife and is caught by Dwight's private investigating skills. Actor Ray Liotta is best known for his roles in "Goodfellas," "Field of Dreams," "Cop Land," "Smokin' Aces" and "Wild Hogs."
 
Jeremy Piven
 
Jeremy Piven joins the cast as Bob, a police officer and John Hartigan's former partner. Bob has a new partner, Mort, in the sequel, and the character was portrayed by Michael Madsen in the original film. Jeremy Piven is best known for portraying Ari Gold on the television series "Entourage" and for his roles in the films "Grosse Pointe Blank," "Black Hawk Down," "Old School," "Serendipity" and "Smokin' Aces."
 
Christopher Meloni
 
Christopher Meloni joins the cast in the role of Mort, Bob's partner. Mort is an honest detective who finds himself seduced and manipulated by Ava Lord. The role of Mort was portayed by Ron Hayden in the original film. Christopher Meloni is best known for his television roles as Detective Elliot Stabler on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," prisoner Chris Keller on "Oz" and the vampire Roman on "True Blood."
