Southland Tales is an ensemble piece set in the futuristic landscape of Los Angeles in July 2008. An underground neo-Marxist movement has led to the city's being overpowered, and it's now on the verge of social, economic and environmental disaster. Dwayne Johnson plays an amnesia-stricken action star named Boxer Santaros whose life ends up intertwining with that of an adult film star and a Hermosa Beach police officer.
