Based on a Japanese-made anime cartoon TV series that has aired in the US with English-speaking voices, "Speed Racer" features live actors including Emile Hirsch, Christina Ricci, John Goodman and Susan Sarandon. The main character is Speed Racer (Hirsch) who wants to win the cross-country car racing rally that took the life of his older brother Rex. When he realizes that a corporate scheme is resulting in fixed races, he's able to enter the rally in a partnership with his one-time rival Racer X.
