Killers is an upcoming action comedy movie set to release in theaters on June 4th, 2010. The movie stars Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl (“Grey’s Anatomy”).
Killers Movie Synopsis
Spencer Aimes is just your average, undercover, government-hired super-assassin accustomed to a life of exotic European locales, flashy sports cars and even flashier women. But when he meets Jen Kornfeldt, a beautiful, fun-loving computer tech recovering from a bad break-up, he finds true love…and happily trades international intrigue for domestic bliss.
Three years later, Spencer and Jen are still enjoying a picture-perfect marriage – that is, until the morning after Spencer’s 30th birthday. That’s when Spencer and Jen learn he’s the target of a multi-million dollar hit. Even worse, the hired killers have been stalking the happy couple for years, and could be anyone: friends, neighbors, the grocery store clerk, even that crabby old guy shuffling across the street.
Now Spencer and Jen are on the run for their lives. As their suburban paradise turns into a paranoid game of dodge-the-bullet, they must find out who wants Spencer dead and why, all the while trying to save their marriage, manage his pain-in-the-ass in-laws, keep up neighborly appearances…and just plain survive.

The Ugly Truth DVD Review

November 17th, the romantic comedy movie The Ugly Truth from Sony Pictures and Director Robert Luketic debuted on DVD. Mike Chadway (Gerard Butler) is the host of a television show called “The Ugly Truth”, which perpetuates stereotypical male behavior regard sex. Abby Richter (Katherine Heigl) is the producer of a local news program. The two are brought together when Abby’s station decides to spice up the news with its own segment of Mike’s views.
Abby’s uptight personality does not allow her to accept Mike’s abrasive and crude approach to their first encounter. However, when Abby panics over her attempt to get a date with new neighbor Colin (Eric Winter), Mike offers to step in and help her land a man.
As Abby puts into play the aloof, yet subtly sexual tendencies that Mike says drives men nuts, Colin takes the bait and the two begin to date. The more involved Mike becomes, though, in his coaching, the less guarded Abby is toward his excessive innuendos and flirting.
Will Abby find love with Colin or is “the ugly truth” that Colin isn’t really the right man for her? This is her dilemma in The Ugly Truth. A nice romantic comedy with some originality, The Ugly Truth would have been an ugly movie were it not for the talents of Butler and Heigl.
Winter plays a nice supporting role but his character is more the “looker” in the story. It is the sexual chemistry between Butler and Heigl that heats up the screen. Butler is a perfect fit for a smug, arrogant, alpha male role and Heigl is brilliant in her semi-uptight, yet oddly capable seductress role. If you are looking for a romantic date movie this weekend, The Ugly Truth on DVD might be your best bet at the moment.
