Kobe Doin’ Work DVD Review and Giveaway

Kobe Doin’ Work is a November 24th DVD release from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. Directed by filmmaker Spike Lee, the ESPN documentary gives sports fans a chance to experience unlimited access to the intensity and immeasurable talent of 2009 NBA Finals MVP Kobe Bryant.

In this MVP Limited Edition DVD release, fans get inside the game, literally. Thirty cameras follow Kobe in the locker room and on the court during one of the Lakers most important matchups of the 2007-2008 NBA season, against the San Antonio Spurs. Kobe is miked so you can hear every word as he trades shots with the NBA’s elite.

The Spike Lee Joint is designed for fans who want to know what happens on the court during hotly contested professional basketball games. As you watch and hear Kobe’s interactions on the court and during the game, he adds commentary in the background to explain what is going on and why he says or does certain things during the game.

Kobe Doin’ Work is not for everyone. It is not necessarily even for all sports fans or NBA basketball fans. It is targeted specifically at people that want to get inside the game or that are fans of Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers.

The documentary is intriguing and offers some clever insights into the on the court antics of an NBA star. You learn how trash talk fits into the game and what Kobe and other players due to stay focused.
