Terence Stamp is an English actor and an icon of the 1960's. He's appeared in more than 60 films since launching his career in 1962. His most recent movie role is that of Arthur in the music-themed dramedy Unfinished Song (2012). As main character, Stamp plays a grumpy pensioner who reluctantly joins the local choir at the behest of his late wife (played by Vanessa Redgrave).

Many movie fans believe Terence Stamp's best performances remain with his work from the late 70's and early 80's, however, when he portrayed the evil General Zod in the original Superman (1978) film. He reprised the role for the series' sequel, Superman II (1980).

Stamp delivered what many consider to be his finest performance in the year 1984 when he was cast as the supergrass in Stephen Frears' The Hit.
