With profits of $86,109,000, "Thor: The Dark World" dominated the box office this weekend. When astrophysicist Jane Foster investigates unusual activity, she ends up part of a battle between the Dark Elves and the Asgardians. Thor rushes to Jane's side, but otherworldly forces threaten to destroy her. It's up to the Asgardians to put an old grudge to rest before it's too late. The movie's PG-13 rating is due to sequences of intense sci-fi action and violence, as well as to suggestive content.

"Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa" earned $11,300,000 during the weekend of November 8, bringing total profits to more than $78 million. After elderly Irving ends up in charge of his young grandson, the two head out on the road in a quest to track down Billy's dad. Along the way, Irving finds plenty of opportunities to cause trouble and make some enemies among the residents of America's various small towns. The film has an R rating for crude and mature content, graphic nudity, brief drug use, and language. "Free Birds" saw profits of $11,180,000. In total, the animated Thanksgiving caper has earned more than $30 million. Turkeys everywhere panic whenever the fourth Thursday in November rolls around. Reggie, however, has the President's pardon, and now he lives a cushy and protected life. All that changes when a daring revolutionary recruits Reggie's help in a wild scheme. Together, they'll travel back in time to alter history. Action, peril, and rude humor contribute to a PG rating.

"Last Vegas" brought in $11,100,000 over the weekend. The film has seen over $33 million in box office proceeds since its opening weekend. His three best friends assume that Billy will always be a bachelor. Late in life, though, he surprises everyone by proposing to his beautiful, much younger girlfriend. Now, Billy's friends leave their ordinary lives behind for one last hurrah, which they celebrate with a wild trip to Las Vegas. The movie's PG-13 rating is due to mature content and language.

"Ender's Game" added $10,250,000 to its overall box office profits, which now total more than $44 million. Ender is a young boy attending the Battle School, a military academy where Ender and his classmates compete in training games. As Ender steadily rises to the top of the rankings, those in charge take notice of his talents. However, the authorities are keeping big secrets from the young fighters. "Gravity" has earned over $231 million in total. During the weekend of November 8, the sci-fi movie earned $8,405,000. Dr. Ryan Stone has left an unhappy past behind, now focusing on her research work. During her first shuttle mission, an unexpected accident leaves Ryan stranded in outer space. She must draw on her sparse training and her immense inner strength to fight her way back home to Earth. The movie's PG-13 rating is due to intense perilous sequences, brief strong language, and disturbing images.
