Tina Fey's Date Night shoe troubles

September 10th, 2010

Tina Fey had trouble doing stunts in heels for 'Date Night'.

The writer-and-actress confesses she did not take naturally to running in high heel shoes on the set of the action comedy film - which stars Tina and comedian Steve Carrell as a couple trying to enjoy a peaceful night out together - but managed to stay on two legs and did not fall down while shooting.

She said: "I am not great in heels and I was very slow so we had different sizes and it was night time, so if I had to run really fast or climb I had a shorter one with a clear plastic strap on the front but I never fell down."

The 40 year old - also famous for her work on '30 Rock' and 'Mean Girls' - also admits she would rather be a writer than a film star as being a jobbing actor is "grim".

She revealed: "I would choose writing because you have more control over the situation. Being an actor for hire is a very grim lifestyle."

'Date Night' is available on DVD and Blu-ray from September 13.
