VeggieTales: Pistachio DVD Review and Giveaway

Published on February 28, 2010 by Admin/Neil   ·   216 Comments

VeggieTales PistachioVeggieTales: Pistachio The Little Boy That Woodn’t is a March 2nd DVD release, the latest VeggieTales feature from Big Idea. As is the case with all the Veggie films, Pistachio has an important learning lesson for your kids.  “A Lesson in Listening to Your Parents” is the benefit to parents who want this DVD for your children.

If you follow the VeggieTales movies, you know they spoof other popular Bible stories, movies, and shows with more faith-based learning lessons.  Pistachio is a parody of the popular Disney story of Pinocchio.  It tells of a toymaker named Gelato and his surprise at creating a toy boy that can walk, talk and act on his own accord.

Pistachio finds himself in a tough spot and must decide whether to listen to his father’s wisdom in order to save his family.  This is a similar situation that we all find ourselves in at some point.  Complete with wonderful animation and imagery to go along with a great learning experience for kids, this 50 minute Veggie feature also has audio commentary, staplers singalong, discussion guide, art gallery, Larry Visits a Marionette Theater feature, studio store, 5.1 surroud sound, English and Spanish subtitles, and more.

MPAA Rating: Not Rated
Running Time: 50 Minutes
DVD Release Date: March 2, 2010
