In a violent, futuristic city where the police have the authority to act as judge, jury and executioner, a cop named Dredd (Karl Urban) teams with a trainee (Olivia Thirby) to take down a gang that deals the reality-altering drug, SLO-MO. Lena Headey portrays Ma Ma, the villainous prostitute-turned-drug lord whose also head of the drug-dealing gang. After one of her own is taken by Dredd's clan, Ma Ma wages a vicious war against the Judges that proves she will stop at nothing to protect her empire. Based on the 2000 AD comic book by Carlos Ezquerra & John Wagner, Dredd 3D is brought to life by screenwriter Alex Garland and director Pete Travis.
