Viola Davis lands two new leading roles
Viola Davis has landed two new leading roles.
The Oscar-nominated 'The Help' actress will star in 'Creatures' based on the book by Margaret Stohl and Kami Garcia and will take one of the main parts, playing a librarian friend of the lead character, who loves him like a mother.
The movie is the first of a planned trilogy which will cover the other books 'Beautiful Darkness' and 'Beautiful Chaos' in the series about two teens dealing with a curse which has plagued a family for generations.
The film will be directed by Richard LaGravenese, who also wrote the script, and is set to start shooting in New Orleans in April.
Viola, will also star in 'Ender's Game', which tells the story of a talented youngster recruited by humanity to fight off an insect-like alien race. She will play a military psychologist who oversees the emotional welfare of young trainees and helps design the games that test their skills and resilience.
Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin, Sir Ben Kingsley and Harrison Ford will also take on roles in the movie.
'Ender's Game' is set to start shooting shortly.
