Rachel Weisz portrays the main character of this bio-drama, which is based on real events. American police officer Kathryn Bolkovac (Weisz) takes a job working as a peacekeeper in post-war Bosnia where she hopes to rebuild the devastated communities. However her expectations are crushed when she discovers a dangerous reality of corruption and cover-up. Risking her job and her safety, Bolkovac exposes a child sex slave and human-trafficking scandal involving U.S. military contractors and the United Nations.
