Emily Blunt has been offered the lead role in romantic comedy 'Five-Year Engagement'.

The British actress - best known for her appearance in fashion movie 'The Devil Wears Prada' - would appear alongside Jason Segal in the movie, which will be directed by Nicholas Stoller.

Little is known about the plot of 'Five-Year Engagement', although Judd Apatow is signed up to produce the project, which is being funded by Universal, New York Magazine's Vulture blog reports.

Emily Blunt rose to fame in 2004 movie 'Summer of Love', and has since starred in a number of successful projects including 'The Young Victoria', about the early life of Britain's Queen Victoria and horror movie 'The Wolfman'.

The 27-year-old beauty will soon be seen in Jack Black's 'Gulliver's Travels', which she was signed up to work on as a result of her deal with Fox - which meant they had an option to cast her in a film following the success of 'The Devil Wears Prada'.
