"The Words" landed in third place during its debut weekend in theaters, earning a respectable but slightly underwhelming $5 million. To the casual observer, Rory Jansen looks like a success story. The young author has just published his first novel, earning much critical acclaim. However, Rory has a secret. The words that have won him fame and fortune are not his own. As his book continues to gain new admirers, Rory's lies may come back to haunt him. The movie's PG-13 rating is due to smoking and strong language.

"The Possession" continues to take top honors at the theaters, bringing in $9,500,000. Total profits now equal over $33 million. Clyde's life spirals out of control after his young daughter encounters a mysterious box and starts to change in frightening ways. If he ever wants to see his real daughter again, Clyde will have to uncover the dark truth about the strange box's previous owner. The horror movie has a PG-13 rating for thematic material that involves disturbing sequences and violence.

During the weekend of September 7th, "Lawless" saw box office earnings of just over $6 million, with overall profits of over $23 million. The Bondurant brothers have to take risks and make sacrifices to protect their liquor bootlegging business. A ruthless new deputy in town only makes their lives more difficult. "Lawless" is rated R for strong violence, mature content, nudity and language.

"The Expendables 2" has continued to maintain a strong presence at theaters, bringing in $4,750,000 this weekend. Total earnings now clock in at over $75 million. An arms dealer makes some very dangerous enemies when he double-crosses a member of the Expendables. The rest of the mercenaries trek all the way to Bulgaria to track their new nemesis down, sparking a bloody and prolonged battle that could affect the fate of the entire world. The film has an R rating for bloody violence throughout.

"The Bourne Legacy" has earned over $103 million during its five weeks in theaters, a sum which includes over $4 million earned this weekend. Aaron Cross is a super-agent, taking elite pills that enhance his abilities. After dedicating his life to his secret operation, Cross discovers that something has gone terribly wrong behind the scenes. His higher-ups are now his sworn enemies. Cross will have to battle for his life like never before. The film's PG-13 rating is due to intense action sequences and violence.

"ParaNorman" made $3,830,235 at the box office this weekend. The charmingly spooky film has earned more than $45 million overall. Blithe Hollow seems like an ordinary Massachusetts town, but one of its residents has a supernatural power that could change everything. Norman was born with the odd ability to communicate with the dead. When Blithe Hollow ends up the focus of zombie attacks, Norman will have to draw on all his courage to make things right again. "ParaNorman" has a PG rating for scary action sequences and images, rude humor, language and thematic elements.

"Snow White and the Huntsman" arrives out on DVD and Blu-Ray on Tuesday, September 11th. Kristen Stewart stars in this edgy, action-packed upgrade of the classic Snow White story. Abandoned by the only family she knows, a young princess manages to beat the odds and find her true calling as a warrior. The PG-13 rating is due to intense violence and action sequences, as well as brief sensuality.

"What to Expect When You're Expecting" features a star-studded cast, offering a fun and quirky look at the world of pregnancy and parenting. A group of very different couples all have one thing in common: they are hoping to become new parents. Each couple has plenty of surprises waiting in store for them, some joyful and some challenging. The film has a PG-13 rating for language, thematic elements and crude content.

"Girl in Progress" is a fresh, hip dramatic comedy about the bond between a mother and a daughter. Hard-working Grace just wants to create a better life for her child, but her teen daughter admires the characters in books more than she trusts her mother's opinion. The two will have to come to a truce if they want to conquer their individual demons. The PG-13 rating is due to mature thematic content, mature content and references and alcohol use, all involving teenagers.

"Goats" tells the story of a teenager who never really had much guidance from his flaky mother. Now, as he is about to head to prep school and join a whole new world, he finds it surprisingly difficult to leave his flawed and quirky life behind. The irreverent comedy has an R rating for mature content, nudity, language and teen drug and alcohol use. "Goats" is available on DVD and Blu-Ray this Tuesday.
