Ellen Page is in talks to star in spy movie 'Queen & Country'.

The 'Juno' actress is being eyed to lead a new action franchise for 20th Century Fox, which will be based on a comic book by Greg Rucka.

The story follows a young British Intelligence agent named Tara Chace, who finds herself attempting to thwart a terrorist plot while, at the same time, her identity is compromised and she battles her own personal demons.

According to Variety, Fox has been hoping to build a franchise around Page, who has previously starred in numerous films for the studio and off-shoot company Fox Searchlight, for some time. The movie is being considered a potential series for Page in a similar vein to Matt Damon's starring role in the Bourne trilogy.

Since breaking out and earning an Oscar nomination for 'Juno', Page has caught the eye of top directors including Christopher Nolan, who cast her in 2010's 'Inception', and she has also starred in 2009's 'Whip It!' and more recently, 'The East'.

Page will next be seen reprising her role as Kitty Pryde in Fox's superhero blockbuster 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'. The actress first played the mutant character in 2006's 'X-Men: The Last Stand'.
